Why Does No One Seem To Care?Posted: 2016-02-19 Why does no one seem to care?(The following article was sent to me anonymously. It’s a timely, accurate, and thoughtful essay that needs to be read by every American.) Are you aware that we the people are under assault in this country? Maybe not you personally, yet, but when one group of patriots in America is deprived of their freedoms guaranteed to them by the Constitution, it's a hostile invasion of all who stand for liberty. And that is what happened to the ranchers in Harney County, Oregon, in the past weeks, and in Nevada before that. There is a systematic taking of our precious liberties. Why does no one seem to care? Where is the media on this? Where are the folks who are focused on restoring our trust lands across the western United States? Are we to sit and watch those among us get incarcerated for ranching? For peacefully protesting the egregious treatment they have received from their own government, for years? We know that these lands do not belong to the federal government. The federal government manages those lands for we the people under contracts that were supposed to be assigned back to the states years ago. The federal government contracts grazing leases to local ranchers. These grazing leases abut the ranches owned by private citizens of the United States. These ranchers, by and large, are good stewards of the lands they lease to use for grazing. But they are methodically being deprived of the use of the lands owned by we the people, even with legal leases to do so. In Oregon, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is burning grazing land that is under lease to ranchers for grazing their cattle, and theBLM is burning the cattle, homes, and corrals in the process. In many cases, as happened on Thursday, February 11, 2016, the federal government is confiscating land, much of which is under leased grazing rights to ranchers who grow the cattle that feeds us. Obama just seized 1.8 million acres of land in southern California with the stroke of his pen bringing the total to 265,000,000 acres he has taken away from the people. See LAND GRAB: Obama Seizes 1.8 Million Acres in California. He made it known that he plans to seize a similar sized chunk in southeast Nevada that includes the Bundy ranch. Have you heard a word about this on any TV station or newscast? Did you hear the President of the United States say one word about what occurred in Oregon and the man who was murdered in the snow? Why isn't this newsworthy? This is control of the people unlike has ever been seen in the USA but very familiar to people in Russia, Cuba, and other countries. In the matter of the Malhuer Wildlife Preserve, here is a question that we would very much like to know the answer to: Why were there law enforcement officers protecting government property in Burns who had no identifying insignias? This has been positively confirmed numerous times. And, their uniforms were not "uniform"; fully "tacked out" and "no patches"; wearing blue jeans and carrying gas masks. It also appears that these law enforcement officers, without any identifying insignias, were reported to be harassing the general population. People thought they were militia. It appears, from many reports that I have seen, that there was no unprofessional behavior by militia members; going so far as spending their time shoveling snow for the locals; and bringing coffee and food to FBI agents. The militia were clearly there in a defensive role. This is just one of many glaring concerns surrounding the Occupation. Watch the following videos and judge for yourself. Burns Oregon: law enforcement with no identifying insignia or badges. Begin watching at 3:31. Interview with Harney County Fire Chief Chris Briels. Rumors were that it was militia who were harassing townspeople. Actually, they were under cover FBI agents wearing jeans, posing as militia. That is why the townspeople were saying they wanted the militia to leave. Of course, the residents of this small town had no way of knowing who was who. Begin watching at 35:12. Remember this: We the people are guaranteed the right to civil disobedience, and that is all that was happening. For some reason, the “law” turned it into a siege against protestors. Compare that to the situation in Ferguson or Milwaukee. The protestors there were NOT civil, but the “law” did nothing but watch. What about Occupy Wall Street that spread across the country for nearly a year? Why was the Malhuer Wildlife Refuge so different? Why does no one seem to care? Food for thought: First they came for the ranchers, but I wasn't a rancher so I didn’t speak up. Then they came for the protesters, but I wasn't a protester so I didn’t speak up. Then they came for the militia, but I wasn't in a militia so I didn’t speak up. Then they came for the independent media, but I wasn't in the independent media so I didn’t speak up. Then they came for me, but there was no one left to speak up for me. The above poem was inspired by a famous statement and provocative poem written by Pastor Martin Niemöller (1892–1984) about the cowardice of German intellectuals following the Nazis' (National Socialism) rise to power and the subsequent purging of their chosen targets, group after group. Many variations and adaptations in the spirit of the original have been published in the English language. It deals with themes of persecution, guilt and responsibility. See "First They Came...."
