Steps Your Church Can Take to Defund Planned Parenthood

Dear Pastor,

You may have seen some of the undercover videos of Planned Parenthood executives and doctors calmly describing “crushing” unborn babies and using “less crunchy” methods in order to obtain baby parts to sell for profit.  Each successive video seems worse than the last, the most recent one showing Planned Parenthood staff dissecting baby parts, pricing them, and joyfully exclaiming “Another boy!”  

The Church cannot and must not stay silent in the face of this evil.  I am encouraged to see how many pastors are speaking out against this horrific practice. But the time has come for more than just talk.  The Church has an unprecedented opportunity to save lives by ending taxpayer funding of Planned Parenthood and changing cultural views on abortion – if we act immediately.  

I am writing to encourage you to take action.  You can start by visitingADFlegal.org/DefundPP.  This website includes links to several action steps you and your congregation can take to help expose Planned Parenthood and end these evil practices.  Some of these steps include:

Specific Prayer Requests:

As you pray, remember to give thanks and praise to God for the work He is doing to transform lives and for the joy of serving Him.
  • Watching the undercover videos of the Planned Parenthood executives.
  • Educating your congregation about this issue and encouraging them to take action.
  • Encouraging businesses to defund and stop patronizing Planned Parenthood.
  • Convening rallies at your state government capitol to advocate defunding Planned Parenthood.
  • Encourage defunding Planned Parenthood by organizing picketing or demonstrations at Planned Parenthood facilities, businesses that support Planned Parenthood, and Planned Parenthood vendors.
The website ADFlegal.org/DefundPP contains a wealth of information on what ADF and other pro-life allies are doing to defund Planned Parenthood.  Please take advantage of this website and prayerfully consider how you and your church can add your efforts at this critical time.
