CORRECTION: Gilbert School Board Candidate Has No sympathy For Christians...

    Then know that JILL HUMPHREYS, an incumbent on the Gilbert School Board has vehemently expressed her absolute opposition to Any Prayer seeking God's guidance before School board meetings. 
    After the majority voted to Resume a beginning Prayer, Humphreys has consistantly refused to even take her place at the board table or participate in the meeting while the Prayer is being offered. She has told me personally That she also refuses to put Christmas vacation,Easter or Good Friday back on the school calender or print programs that are titled "Christmas concerts"as opposed to "Holiday concerts".  
    Humphreys also opposes traditional carols sung aloud by our Choral choirs in school concerts that specifically mention "Jesus Christ our Savior"(God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen) or "Lord Jesus" as the Son of God(Away in a manger). Her rational is: "not everybody believes that". Then why would they be at a Christmas concert?
    She doesn't mind if these carols are performed as instrumentals only as long as the words are not sung aloud. She said this much to me in a conversation before a school board meeting during which I tried,to no avail, to persuade her to reconsider her position. She refused adamantly. 
    Have we reached such a point in our community with all our Christian faith and heritage that we will reelect someone Like Jill Humphreys to guide our children's education?  If you feel as I do, Please tell those you know To Vote For RON BELLUS and DAWN BRIMHALL who both openly support Prayer and God for our children's sake. 
    And tell them NOT to vote for Jill Humphreys.     Glen Frakes
