She was a RUSSIAN JEW who fled Russia in the 1920's after the Bolshevics took over and confiscated her WELL TO DO father's businesses. Needless to say, the Bolshevic government was not kind to Jews, either. She was a self proclaimed ATHIEST. She spewed out plenty of anti government, pro greed and even MISOGYNISTIC (anti woman) screeds like it but I doubt any of your readers could get through any of them. After coming to America she was very bitter at having lost her privaliged position in life as a wealthy man's daughter and have to work for a living. She did most of her well known writing while addicted to AMPHETAMINES, prescribed by her doctor for a brief time but continued.In later life she was PRO ABORTION RIGHTS and against the VIETNAM WAR. Despite her anti government stance, she enjoyed the benefite of SOCIAL SECURITY AND MEDICAID after retirement from her writing. And if you and your friends want to see her move we have this new fangled thing called the computer macine and if you sign up for Netflix you can watch it any time you want to if you can find $8 and change /month in your couch cushions.
