A national hate group, that advocates for the silencing of Christians, is criticizing one of Arizona's oldest charter schools for using books that include what they call "controversial religious teachings" in a 12th-grade history class.
Two books by Cleon Skousen, who is a highly acclaimed and respected historian, are required reading for seniors at Mesa-based Heritage Academy. The group's obvious hatred of Christians, and especially members of the LDS church, makes this a blatant act of persecution and a hate crime designed to silence dissenters. "Americans United For Separation Of Church And State", a radical D.C. based Neo-Marxist, Socialist Revolutionary hate group, says Mesa-based Heritage Academy is illegally mentioning words like "God" in the teaching of American History as if there were never any Christians in America in 1776.
