Some Politicians (Bob Worsley) Will Say AnythingPosted: 2014-07-17 7-10-14 PRESS RELEASE FROM RALPH HEAP
I can't help but be a somewhat amused by my opponent Bob Worsley's recent attempts to run away from his liberal voting record.
I don't know if you've seen it, but Bob apparently now believes that the massive expansion of Medicaid that he voted for isn't going to cost us a dime. This is, of course, preposterous. As the well-respected Goldwater Institute points out, Medicaid expansion will end up costing Arizona dearly.

He also now believes that by voting to authorize school districts to incur $400 million more in debt that it would not increase property taxes. I don't know about you, but I can't help but wonder who Bob thinks pays for that debt? Of course, it's property taxpayers. In fact, the non-partisan Arizona Tax Research Association said the bill a "would dramatically increase property taxes."

Now these are just a couple of votes that Bob made on the way to being named the most liberal Republican in the Arizona State Senate by the Sunlight Foundation and being named a "Friend of Big Government" by Americans for Prosperity.
More spending and higher taxes. That's Bob Worsley's record.
I'm disappointed, but not surprised, that he is working furiously to confuse voters about his record. It's the same tired game that politicians running from their records play all the time when they know voters won't approve of what they've been doing.
Unlike Bob, you will always know where I stand. I will always stand up for our shared conservative values and protect you as taxpayers. Unlike Bob, the principles of smaller government and lower taxes are more than just convenient campaign slogans to roll out every couple of years.
As your next State Senator, my promise to you is simple. You will always know where I stand, and I will always stand up and fight for limited government, less spending, and freedom.
Sincerely,
|
